The conceptual framework of our spatial investigation has been the creation of spaces that serve as thresholds for the listening of Music and the viewing of Art.

The Main Entrance Hall as well as the Foyer to the Symphony Hall effectively function as internal "piazzas" serving the major programmatic elements which they share. Alternately, these internal public gathering spaces enliven an architectural promenade that weaves vertically through the building.
