a. slarsky,
BA, BS, MA
Mr. Slarsky is an architect and co-founder
of edlund-slarsky architects. His built
work includes the design of the award winning
lobby pavilion at the University of Massachusetts
Fine Arts Center, while employed at the
Boston office of Perry Dean Rogers &
Partners, and the environmentally responsive
Y2K House in Damariscotta, Maine. In addition
to work done independently, Mr. Slarsky
holds a position of architectural designer
with the inter-disciplinary office of Sasaki
Associates in Watertown, Massachusetts.
Mr. Slarsky has juried at the Graduate School
of Design at Harvard University and the
Graduate School of Architecture and Planning
at Columbia University as well as taught
at the Boston Architectural Center and currently
holds a non-tenure track position in the
architecture department at Northeastern
University.
Prior
to founding edlund-slarsky architects, Mr.
Slarsky has held design positions at Perry
Dean Rogers & Partners Architects in
Boston, Massachusetts, and the studio of
the architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg in Madrid,
Spain.
Mr.
Slarsky holds a Masters of Arts in Architecture
from Columbia University in the city of
New York and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History
and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology respectively
from the University of Massachusetts in
Amherst, Massachusetts.
Mr.
Slarsky has won several awards for his design
work both while employed with larger offices
and while working independently, and as
a graduate student.
a. katarina edlund, EAUG
Ms. Edlund is an architect and co-founder
of edlund-slarsky architects. Her built
work includes the award winning Y2K House
in Damariscotta, Maine. In addition to work
done independently, Ms Edlund holds a position
of architect with the offices of HNTB/Rafael
Vinoly Architects in Boston, Massachusetts.
Ms. Edlund has juried at the Graduate School
of Design at Harvard University, at Northeastern
University and taught at the Boston Architectural
Center.
Prior
to founding edlund-slarsky architects, Ms.
Edlund has held design positions at Kyu
Sung Woo Architects in Cambridge, Massachusetts
and in the studio of Angel Fernandez Alba
in Madrid, Spain.
Ms
Edlund holds a diploma from the Ecole Architecture
de l'Universite de Geneve in Switzerland
and attended the Ecole Polytechnique Federale
de Lausanne, Switzerland.
